After Earth (2013)

One thousand years after a series of catastrophic events forced mankind to abandon Earth and seek refuge on Nova Prime, the renowned General Cypher Raige (Will Smith) is returning home to be a father to his thirteen year old son Kitai (Jaden Smith). However, a asteroid storm damagers their craft and crash lands on the now highly treacherous planet Earth. Μια χιλιετία έχει περάσει από τότε που κατακλυσμικά φαινόμενα ανάγκασαν τους κατοίκους της γης να μετοικίσουν στον πλανήτη Nova Prime που έγινε το καινούργιο σπίτι της ανθρωπότητας. Εκεί επιστρέφει ο θρυλικός στρατιώτης Cypher Raige μετά από μια παρατεταμένη αποστολή για να επανασυνδεθεί με την αποξενωμένη οικογένειά του και κυρίως τον δεκατριάχρονο γιο του, Kitai. Ενώ πατέρας και γιος ταξιδεύουν σε έναν κοντινό πλανήτη, μια θύελλα αστεροειδών καταστρέφει το διαστημόπλοιό τους και συντρίβονται στον αφιλόξενο πλανήτη γη. Όσο ο Cypher αργοπεθαίνει στην καμπίνα του διαστημόπλοιου, ο Kitai πρέπει να σταθεί στο ύψος των περιστάσεων και να βρει τρόπο να σωθούν. Στην περιήγησή του στη γη θα συναντήσει νέα εξελιγμένα είδη κι ένα σκληρό εξωγήινο τέρας. Όλη του τη ζωή ο γιος ήθελε να είναι ένας σπουδαίος στρατιώτης σαν τον πατέρα του. Προδομένος από το είδος του και φεύγοντας ως νεκρός σε έναν έρημο πλανήτη, ο Ρίντικ παλεύει για την επιβίωση ενάντια στα εξωγήινα αρπακτικά, ενώ γίνεται όλο και πιο ισχυρός κι επικίνδυνος από ποτέ. 
Σύντομα, οι κυνηγοί επικηρυγμένων απ` όλο τον γαλαξία καταφθάνουν για τον Ρίντικ, όμως το μόνο που καταφέρνουν είναι να μετατραπούν σε πιόνια μιας προσχεδιασμένης εκδίκησης. 
Με τους εχθρούς του εκεί που τους θέλει, ο Ρίντικ εξαπολύει μια τρομερή επίθεση εκδίκησης πριν επιστρέψει στην πατρίδα του για να σώσει από καταστροφή τον πλανήτη Φούρια.
