Focusing on the life and political career of former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. The death of her beloved husband Denis (Jim Broadbent) see's Margaret talk to the imagined presence of him as she struggle's to cope with his death. A interesting insight into Thatcher as she begin's to become unrecognisable to the general public as well as the eventual lack of power and independence that come's with old age. The Iron Lady paint's Thatcher as a pained figure as the loneliness consume's her daily life.
